Who am I?

I am a positive psychologist. After 15 years of studying besides my job and young family, I am finally officially qualified to do what I really love: help people flourish!

I am also someone with a history of tough losses. I suddenly lost my mother when I was a child. This event set off a series of other losses, both in my family and personal life. I struggled with mild to moderate depression and know the feelings of loneliness and non-belonging inside out.

But I am also someone who dragged herself out of it, thanks to my wonderful therapists and my 20-year long meditation practice. When I started to combine Zen meditation with positive psychology, I discovered a huge transformative potential. Today I know life is both terrible and beautiful, brutal and precious. By choosing which aspects we focus on we have the power to stay healthy and strong.

Only then can we fully be there for others, making a positive contribution to the world.

Why do I do this?

Because mental health matters. It matters a lot. It matters so much that without it, life can be just a painful agony, something to be endured. Mental health influences both our physical health and longevity, and ripples out to those around us. There is nothing as precious as a life well lived. That is why I became a psychologist: I wish to see people thrive, flourish and live good lives.
